My view and belief is that all ideas or images of God are simply small parts of the same massive whole that everyone sees. Kinda like looking at a jewel, one culture sees one facet and fixates on it to exclusion of the rest of the jewel. In the Kybalion, everything is viewed as having a polar balance, thus, on the opposite end of this projective thing we call God, is also that receptive end called Goddess. So in essence every God or Goddess worshiped are simply aspects, or images of one hugely massive thing which the human mind in its finite capacity cannot comprehend.

The author of Abra-Melin seemed to understand this a bit when he explained that Christians as well as Pagans are able to perform the rites. I also would like to point out that many religions have similar expressions such as demon possession (or spirit possession), and higher entity hierarchy.

Sounds to me like one kinda reflects the other.Jevaudhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10536304417395520804noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6817682567561164198.post-60358729240297763522013-11-02T07:37:53.206-05:002013-11-02T07:37:53.206-05:00"....we don't proselytize..."
Of co..."....we don't proselytize..."

Of course, "We" do not, because "proselytize", like "cult" is one of those funny words which by DEFINITION can only apply to Them. It is "We share, you preach, They proselytize". I keep asking for a coherent statement of the alleged difference, and have never gotten one consistent with the way the label is actually used.
Furthermore, the identical BEHAVIOR is condoned as long as it is not in the box labeled "religion". We never hear, "That Obama came to town to PROSELYTIZE for his insurance plan."Willhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15222328459836041333noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6817682567561164198.post-18353311916740669522013-11-02T05:36:51.191-05:002013-11-02T05:36:51.191-05:00Any intelligent discussion or critique on Christia...Any intelligent discussion or critique on Christianity quickly becomes an attack on Christianity. For instance, Hesus, Esus (or Iesus) was an Celtic druid God, (Hesusism began eight hundred years before the Christian era) Hesus wore a crown of roses instead of a crown of thorns. (H)esus was depicted in the first century as a wood-cutter and is engaged in chopping down a willow-tree. A carpenter, if you will. Christosism has been regarded as a corrupt version of the druidical Hesusism by many scholars. Adding to the confusion of who Jesus really was, Iesus (Celtic romanized) was a God of war for the Celtics. And now were left with this dogmatic mess. Christians even pronounce the wrong name of that so called Savior. The letter "J" didn't even exist until the late 1560's, it originally was an "i" which was extended with a curve. It took quite a few book burning sessions by a Pope to force others to use the letter J, and obscure it's true Celtic origins. I guess it is okay to re-write the word of God, now is it...saturnslamenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12509509690437710914noreply@blogger.com
