Just as so many people keep insisting that "Protestant" means nothing beyond "Not Catholic".

No offense, but if that was what I wanted, I could have gone with my father's version of Judaism. What we don’t need is sectarian sorting, discrimination, or absolute definitions of how and whom a Pagan or Witch should worship as their attributes of Deity. We are still working out the details of our theology and practices, and establishing harsh limitations at this point makes little sense to me."

Amen.

Wait ... are we allowed to use that word? ;)David Dashifen Keeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18440938543448621585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6817682567561164198.post-57983496571521613112013-04-07T23:52:00.568-05:002013-04-07T23:52:00.568-05:00Oops, I meant wrote Christianity when I meant Paga...Oops, I meant wrote Christianity when I meant Pagans and Paganism: Very thoughtful article, I have to agree that I found his arguments persuasive but that in practice it is something quite different. You don't address one very important element in Sam's argument, he states the Jehovah is behind Christianity in all its forms and its not a 'God' that means Pagans good will so it is something that should be included in Paganism, along with his Son or prophet. (whichever way you take Jesus). I think that's the bigger logic behind his perspective. I have a different experience and perspective as a Magician and Qabalist.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04501764014536236260noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6817682567561164198.post-30348900706868634012013-04-07T23:43:06.127-05:002013-04-07T23:43:06.127-05:00Very thoughtful article, I have to agree that I fo...Very thoughtful article, I have to agree that I found his arguments persuasive but that in practice it is something quite different. You don't address one very important element in Sam's argument, he states the Jehovah is behind Christianity in all its forms and its not a 'God' that means Christians good will. In that vein I would say that this is not my experience or perspective, its the people behind the religion, and the magickal/mystical perspective of these Gods is quite different, we are no more supporting anti-pagnism than rape, when we care calling YHVH or Zeus. Anyway, Peace to all. Its a very important discussion. Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04501764014536236260noreply@blogger.com
