Art of Path Working - Magickal Envisioning and Visualized Meditation
Sorry - this blog article was removed pending the publication of “Magical Qabalah for Beginners” published by Llewellyn Worldwide - you can find this material in that book, published on January, 2013.
One thing I would add is that there are pathworking methodologies out there used by many people that are more like set guided meditations - you go through some sort of opening procedure and then listen to a narration of the various things you are "supposed" to see and experience as you traverse the path.
An open-ended method such as the one you explain here is far superior to any of these "canned" approaches. The method that my magical working group uses is similar to yours in this respect, in that it allows the individual freedom to explore and experience the path on his or her own terms.
