Enochian Binary Planetary Spirits and Invocation Rite Part 2

Here is my rare gift to those who read my blog, an actual ritual pattern that you can use. Consider this a Solstice gift from me to you. Just flesh out this ritual pattern and you will have a powerful ritual to invoke one of the 49 Bonarum. I have found these spirits to be profoundly useful and very insightful. Bright blessing to you this wonderful day, December 21, 2022.

Now that we have classified these 49 Bonarum spirits we can present the ritual for invoking one of them.

The Invocation of a binary planetary intelligence uses the same pattern as the invocation of the Talismanic Elemental, with some additional features. Instead of invoking the ruling planet of the lunar mansion, the operator would perform a double invocation of the planetary base and then the planetary qualifier. There is no charging vortex used, so instead the operator would set the zenith with a great rose ankh, set the four watchtowers with the lesser hexagram of union (earth) and then draw a rose ankh on the parchment sigil.

To invoke a binary planetary intelligence, the parchment sigil should contain the sigil of the function or purpose of the working, the sigil of the name of the spirit, as derived from the alphabet wheel (use the English wheel for Enochian spirit names), and the symbols of the two planets, the qualifier set above the base planet. When I make this composite symbol, it looks like a fraction with a line separating the base from the qualifier.

Invocation of the Binary Planetary Intelligence Spirit Ritual

Here is the ritual pattern for you to examine. This ritual is performed within a fully erected and charged magic circle.

1.    Take up the wand from the altar and proceed to the eastern watchtower. Facing the east, draw an invoking pentagram of the target element to the base, and above it, a lesser hexagram of the zodiacal quality. Join the two points together with a narrow invoking spiral, creating a pylon with the zodiacal sign.
2.    Proceed to the southern watchtower. Facing the south, draw an invoking pentagram of the target element to the base, and above it, a lesser hexagram of the zodiacal quality. Join the two points together with a narrow invoking spiral, creating a pylon with the zodiacal sign.
3.    Proceed to the western watchtower. Facing the west, draw an invoking pentagram of the target element to the base, and above it, a lesser hexagram of the zodiacal quality. Join the two points together with a narrow invoking spiral, creating a pylon with the zodiacal sign.
4.    Proceed to the northern watchtower. Facing the north, draw an invoking pentagram of the target element to the base, and above it, a lesser hexagram of the zodiacal quality. Join the two points together with a narrow invoking spiral, creating a pylon with the zodiacal sign.
5.    Proceed to the center of the circle. Facing the center, draw an invoking pentagram of the target element to the base, and above it, a lesser hexagram of the zodiacal quality. Join the two points together with a narrow invoking spiral, creating a pylon with the zodiacal sign.
6.    Return the wand to the altar and pick up the sword. Proceed to the eastern watchtower, and with the sword draw the pylon residing there to the pylon in the center of the circle at the zenith point.
7.     Proceed to the southern watchtower, and with the sword draw the pylon residing there to the pylon in the center of the circle at the zenith point.
8.    Proceed to the western watchtower, and with the sword draw the pylon residing there to the pylon in the center of the circle at the zenith point.
9.    Proceed to the northern watchtower, and with the sword draw the pylon residing there to the pylon in the center of the circle at the zenith point.
10.    Proceed to the eastern watchtower and draw a line on the floor from the east to south, then the south to the west, then the west to the north, and then a line to the east.
11.    Return the sword to the altar. Take up the staff and proceed to the eastern watchtower. Begin a circumambulation starting from the east and proceeding deosil around the circle with a spiral arc towards the center of the circle, passing the eastern watchtower three times and entering to the center of the circle. Place the staff before the center altar and imagine the energy field fully activated within the circle. Then return the staff to the altar and pick up the wand.
12.    Using the wand, proceed to the northern watchtower, and therein draw a rose ankh before it, projecting into it a deep violet color.
13.    Proceed to the western watchtower and draw a rose ankh before it, projecting into it a deep violet color.
14.    Proceed to the southern watchtower and draw a rose ankh before it, projecting into it a deep violet color.
15.    Proceed to the eastern watchtower and draw a rose ankh before it, projecting into it a deep violet color.
16.    Proceed to the center of the circle and draw a rose ankh to the nadir, projecting into it a deep violet color.
17.    Return the wand to the altar, take the sword and proceed to the northern watchtower. Using the sword, draw a line of force from the ankh in the watchtower to the ankh in the center of the circle at the nadir.
18.    Proceed to the western watchtower and using the sword draw a line of force from the watchtower to the center of the circle.
19.    Proceed to the southern watchtower and using the sword draw a line of force from the watchtower to the center of the circle.
20.    Proceed to the eastern watchtower and using the sword draw a line of force from the watchtower to the center of the circle.
21.    Return the sword to the altar, and pick up the wand. Proceed to the northern watchtower and starting from there, proceed to walk in around the circle widdershins, and slowly arc into the center of the circle, passing the northern watchtower three times, and holding the wand out to push the forces to the center of the circle. Once reaching the center, push the combined powers into the nadir. The invoking vortex is now set.
22.    Return the wand to the altar. Proceed to the eastern watchtower, face the west.
23.    Draw invoking spirals to the southeast, northeast and then the western watchtower – these positions are the Guide, Guardian and Ordeal respectively – address each when drawing the invoking spiral.
24.    Draw lines of force with the right hand, from the southeast angle, to the western watchtower, to the northeast angle, and then back again to the southeast angle. The gateway is established
25.    Proceed to walk slowly from the east to the west, and when arriving at the west, perform the pantomime of opening the veil or a curtain with a dramatic flourish. Step close into the western watchtower and turn to face the east, performing the descending wave of energy from above the head to the feet.
26.    Proceed to walk slowly from west to the east, imagining descending into a chamber – stop at the center of the circle where there is placed the central altar.
27.     Draw an inner circle around the central altar, starting in the north and proceeding widdershins around the circle until ending again at the north. Retrieve the wand and sigil from the altar and proceed to the central altar, standing on the western side. Place the sigil in the center of the septagram icon.
28.    Using the wand, draw the invoking pattern for the base planet on the septagram icon. Start at the point opposite the target planetary point and draw a line towards it, then continuing drawing following the lines of the septagram until you reach the point just before the target, then draw the last line projecting the energy of the wand to the action.  Then point the wand at the sigil, and then draw an invoking spiral on the septagram icon, centering on the sigil and exhaling the breath.
29.    Using the wand, draw the invoking pattern for the qualifier planet on the septagram icon.
30.    Draw three consecutive invoking spirals over the septagram icon, and then name the binary planetary spirit, touching the wand to the parchment sigil.
31.    Standing at the central altar, facing the east, with the wand in hand, draw a great rose ankh in the zenith point. Project a deep violet color into the ankh.
32.    Then step one step away from the central altar, facing the southeast, with the wand draw a lesser hexagram of union (earth) to the southeastern angle. Draw a line of force with the wand from the hexagram to the sigil in the center of the septagram icon.
33.    Turn to face the southwest, with the wand draw a lesser hexagram of union (earth) to the southwestern angle. Draw a line of force with the wand from the hexagram to the sigil in the center of the septagram icon.
34.    Turn to face the northwest, with the wand draw a lesser hexagram of union (earth) to the northwestern angle. Draw a line of force with the wand from the hexagram to the sigil in the center of the septagram icon.
35.    Turn to face the northeast, with the wand draw a lesser hexagram of union (earth) to the northeastern angle. Draw a line of force with the wand from the hexagram to the sigil in the center of the septagram icon.
36.    Draw a rose ankh upon the sigil in the center of the septagram icon and project a deep violet color into it. Then draw a line of force from the ankh in the zenith down to the ankh on the sigil.
37.    Intone the prepared invocation of the binary planetary intelligence, and then call its name repeatedly, with a dramatic voice. Let the voice diminish in volume until it is just a whisper.
38.    Sit in meditation before the center altar and internally call to the binary planetary intelligence until a response is sensed. Use the imagination to help enhance the experience of that spirit.
39.    When the meditative communion with the spirit is completed, then stand before the septagram icon and take up the wand and draw a banishing spiral over it, and give the target spirit a warm farewell and thanks for visiting.
40.    Place the wand on the septagram icon, and then turn around and proceed to the west then turn again to fact the east.
41.    Draw invoking spirals to the northwest, southwest and then the eastern watchtower – these positions are the Guide, Guardian and Ordeal respectively – address each when drawing the invoking spiral.
42.    Draw lines of force with the right hand, from the northwest angle, to the eastern watchtower, to the southwest angle, and then back again to the northwest angle. The gateway is established
43.    Proceed to walk slowly from the west to the east, and when arriving at the east, perform the pantomime of opening the veil or a curtain with a dramatic flourish. Step close into the eastern watchtower and turn to face the west, performing the descending wave of energy from above the head to the feet.
44.    Proceed to walk slowly from east to the west, imagining ascending out of a chamber – stop at the center of the circle where there is placed the central altar.
45.    Take up the wand and proceed to the eastern watchtower and with the wand, draw therein a sealing spiral.
46.    Proceed to the southeastern angle and draw a sealing spiral.
47.    Proceed to the southern watchtower and draw a sealing spiral.
48.    Proceed to the southwestern angle and draw a sealing spiral.
49.    Proceed to the western watchtower and draw a sealing spiral.
50.    Proceed to the northwestern angle and draw a sealing spiral.
51.    Proceed to the northern watchtower and draw a sealing spiral.
52.    Proceed to the northeastern angle and draw a sealing spiral.
53.    Return the wand to the altar. The vortex is sealed and the ritual is completed.

So, that is the ritual pattern for invoking the binary planetary intelligence also called the Bonarum. I have presented enough information in this appendix for you to be able to experiment with these spirits, and I invite you to do just that. I think that you will find them to be very powerful indeed.

Enochian Binary Planetary Spirits and Invocation Rite Part 1

Every book that I have written has revisions, and sometimes, whole sections or chapters that are removed from the final manuscript. This was the case with this two part article that was supposed to be included in the appendices of my forth-coming book “Talismanic Magic for Witches.” It was considered too complex and it departed from the context of the rest of the book. I also had to reduce the size of the manuscript so that it would still be affordable to my readers and manageable for the printer, considering the size of the book should match those that were previously printed.

Since it is the season for giving, I have decided to publish this excised chapter in two parts. I felt that it was a valuable chapter from my book that I wanted to share with my readers, and this medium seems to be as good as any to make it available. The first part contains the background lore to the work of invoking a Bonarum or Binary-Planetary Intelligence, and the second part contains the ritual pattern. The pattern is based on those ritual patterns used in my new book, so it might be also helpful to purchase that book. However, for the erudite student, the pattern alone will help them to build their own invocation ritual, and the background lore will give a meaningful structure to the list of 49 spirits that is not present in the Enochian lore, as currently described by the many books on this subject.

Here is the omitted chapter, so enjoy my gift to the magical community and let me know if you are able to use this pattern to your own enrichment.

Note: You will need to use a septagram painted or inscribed on a piece of parchment or painted on a tag-board or section of plywood. This is because I use a centrally placed septagram to draw the lines of force to invoke a planetary intelligence. The details for building this specialized tool is found in my forthcoming book.

The Enochian system of magic introduced to me the concept of the Talismanic Elementals through the qualifications of the 24 Seniors and the four Kings, making for 28 empowered planetary spirits that I was able to use when building my first talismanic ritual technology. I only later added the 28 lunar mansions, so for some time, I used the names of the Enochian Seniors and Kings to summon the talismanic field to charge a talisman receptor.

However, the Enochian system of magic had another body of planetary based spirits in its lore, and these consisted of two planets conjoined, where one planet was the base and the other, the qualifier. Such a combination produced a curious array of intelligences, such as Mars of Venus, Moon of Saturn, Sun of Moon, etc. These spirits were part of what Dee called the Heptarchia Mystica, or the Mystery of Seven-fold, and the 49 spirits that were a major part of this system were called the Bonarum, or Good Spirits. Because they consisted of a combination of two planets fused together, I referred to them as the Binary Planetary Intelligences or Spirits. These 49 planetary intelligences really intrigued me, and as I pondered about their strange qualities and I also began to try to figure out how to invoke using the talismanic rituals that I was using.

By itself, a binary planetary intelligence would not have an associated talismanic field, based on the requirements of the talismanic equation. Yet it would be a dynamic field because the two planets would polarize each other. In my imagination, I saw these binary planetary intelligences representing a kind of conflict, or a conjunction between two different qualities of intelligence. Consider, if you will, the combination of Venus and Mars, which is supposedly a volatile combination of love and war. If Venus was the base and Mars was the qualifier then the combination would be ruled by Venus. You would expect such a combination to be the constructive use of martial energy for peaceful, social and ordered uses. If Mars was the base and Venus was the qualifier then the combination would be ruled by Mars. Such a combination would be volatile, uncontrollable, lustful and even violent. It could provoke jealousy, irrational passions or instigate an aggressive amorous conquest, perhaps even sexual assault or rape.

Thinking about these combinations, I became aware that some of them would be emotionally or psychically toxic and problematic while others would be extremely beneficent and harmonious. It would depend on the combination of planets but also on which one was the base and which one, the qualifier. What I saw in this array of 49 spirits was a veritable goldmine of planetary workings. There were so many possibilities to explore that I decided to design and construct a magical working that would be able to invoke one of these binary planetary intelligences. I found this to be quite simple since I already had rituals to invoke talismanic elements and the decans.

However, I didn’t want to model this ritual after the simple planetary invocation rite because I wanted the dynamic planetary polarization to occur within some kind of energy field, even though I wasn’t going to use it to charge a talisman. Opposing intelligences would likely make for a poor talisman. The invocation would be used to foster a powerful psychic experience in the operator, similar to addressing a specific psychological issue and seeking to resolve it. To help that process, I decided to include an energy foundation based on one of the twelve zodiacal signs. You could use any of the twelve, but it would be important to check on the astrological meaning behind two planets being conjunct in a specific sign.

To help me determine the meaning of these 49 binary planetary intelligences, I used a book that listed the various transit aspects between the planets in a natal chart and the planetary positions for a given elective chart. That is the only kind of book that would show aspects between two planets that are identical, like between natal Venus and transit Venus. For the binary aspect of the spirits, I would treat them as a conjunction between a natal and transit planet. In this manner, I was able to determine the quality of each of the 49 Bonarum spirits.

Since this is a new list of spirits, I will need to present a table that shows the spirit’s name and its association with a base planet and a qualifying planet. Here is a table that shows how such a list would look.

The organization of this table list the qualifying planets in the top row and the base planet in the cell with the spirit’s name. For instance, the spirit B-Arfort would have the base of Luna or the Moon, but the qualifier would be Mars, so the binary quality would be Mars of Moon. Each spirit as the letter-hyphen ‘B-‘ attached to the name, perhaps to indicate that it is one of the Bonarum. When naming one of these spirits, what I do is add vowels where helpful and start the name with prefix ‘Beta’. So, B-Arfort would be called “Beta-Areforte” when vocalizing its name.

49 Bonarum – Binary Planetary Intelligences

The following represents the correspondences of meaning for each combination of two planets. However, it is unnecessary to list every possible position planet to planet combination, therefore, this list deals with only the combination of planets and explains the difference relative to which planet is the qualifier and which planet is the base. I felt that such a key is necessary because I am introducing a new list of spirits, and determining their qualities is an important step to using them.

Heptarchia Mystica and Septagramic Vortex Gate - Part 2

Continuing with the second part of this series on the Septagramic Vortex Gate ritual, I wanted to share the edited journal of that working which I performed nearly 20 years ago.

Notes from the Invocation of Carmara

On the 18th Day of January, 1992, the Septagrammic Gate Vortex was performed. This consisted of joining together the prior seven invoked Binary Planetary Intelligences into a single matrix. In addition to the above structure, an invoking vortex was established to invoke the spirit of Carmara, the ruler of the Heptarchia Mystica. Once invoked, the celebrant was to establish the trapezoidal gate within the center of the seven-fold spiritual matrix, so establishing the septagonic gate vortex. The invocation of the Grand Threshold was the final act which opened up the Gate Threshold of the Inner Planes.

Each step of the Septagrammic Gate Vortex produced a powerful manifestation of spiritual influences that caused the most powerful mind altering phenomena that I have ever experienced in my many years of practicing magick. Yet by the time I reached the stage for opening the Inner Planes, I was completely incapacitated and I was not able to proceed with the working. It became necessary to carefully seal the completed working and make a second attempt during the following evening. My basic assumption was that because the planetary hour had been locked with the circle consecration ritual, and that the planetary hour was also sealed when the complex vortex structure was sealed, it was kept intact for future work. Therefore, after the circle was re-consecrated and charged the next evening, and the target vortex was unsealed, the Septagrammic Gate could be re- opened and explored as if the delay had never occurred.

During the second evening, I witnessed the revelations of Carmara along with the second exposure to the emanations of the Inner Planes. However, this time I was able to remain quite conscious and noted down everything that transpired.

While I was undergoing the ordeal of the first evening, I managed to record a few words before passing out. I was probably unconscious for a few minutes, since the candles were at approximately the same length that they had been before I lost consciousness. Yet I couldn’t verify that fact, since my mental sense of the elapsing of time has played strange tricks on me before. The following is all that I wrote that first evening.

“I am Carmara, Lord of the Seven Rays! And my word is truth, therefore always seek the truth, in all of one's pursuits, the truth!

“Behold, for the truth is Aleithea, beloved of God and Humanity, and she is the perfect Goddess mate through whom one could experience unity, in this sign:

“The initiation of Chenok is the union of Aleithea; the Truth. And this rite shall be revealed at a later time....”

The above three paragraphs were all that was recorded for that evening. Still, the concepts contained within them were quite profound. It would seem to suggest that Carmara was promoting some kind of ecstatic union and subsequent rebirth through the womb matrix of the Goddess of Truth. This was quite a startling revelation, and it seemed to indicate this was to be the initiation of the Chenok, fostering spiritual union and divine truth.

The second evening, the 19th day of January, 1992, was used for continuing the above revelations, and also to gain some deeper explanation of the concept of becoming one with the Feminine Spirit of Truth.

The spirit of Carmara revealed itself on the second evening in a form that was more easily perceived; since my senses, this time, were quite sharp and clear. The image that I sensed coming from the spirit was that of an ancient man with a long white beard, wearing dark blue robes. But this image was fleeting, however, the presence of Carmara was very benign and kindly, as if to indicate that the more difficult process was behind me and now all was available for revelation. I had apparently passed the tests and now Carmara came forth not as an overpowering guardian, but as a guide and teacher. I noted down the words which that spirit spoke to me, and this is what it said.

The Edge of the World, and the Age of Transition

The Greater Abyss is rimmed by the Mythic Images of the Apocalypse, the archetype of the Aion in transition and the turmoil of the establishment of a new age.

A Magus may declare the Spiritual Age, but it represents the archetypal spirit of the time of his or her lineage. To those who are not of the level of the High Adept-hood, the Great Age continues its normal span: One degree each 72 years, one Zodiacal sign every 2,160 years, and one complete revolution of the wheel of time every 25,920 years. Yet the Great Age is currently in transition and shall soon change (at the approximate date of 2014 CE). All that anyone needs to do in order to verify this statement is to glimpse the world with an open mind and see the collapse of all political institutions and spiritual ideologies, and the corresponding affirmation of Western Esotericism.

Therefore, a truly creative spiritual era is now in full transition. It is time for the old order to die; Babylon and the Beast have become relevant symbols for the current decay of Western civilization. Seven Horns, seven trumpets, and seven bowls represent the process of transformation, symbolized as the Age in Transition, forever changing and never the same ever again. It is the death of the familiar and the rise of the dreaded unknown and unfamiliar. The time for change has begun its fateful toll, so the myths of the Apocalypse are applicable to today’s tumultuous times. The association between this mythic image and the real world is allegorical, though the end truly represents the dawning of a new beginning. Yet first, we must witness the fall of the old order.

The Enochian System of Magick has its genesis with the decay and fall of this present era. This is because the current age began with its suppression and subsequent obscurity. So with the terrible demise of the tyrant who has suppressed progressive occultism for this entire age, this esoteric belief system will be renewed and given new life in a more modern form.

What follows the upheaval and the formation of new orders is the establishment of a long period of peace, where the problem places of the world find their own resolution, and thereby allow for a normal and peaceful existence, devoid of hatred, fear, death, and anarchy.

I will define for you what shall yet occur in this process of World Transformation.

1. Democracy will grow and pluralism will become the norm, so it will not only be tolerated, it will be highly encouraged. Through the crucible of terrible experiences, people will seek peace, and succeed in living in peace with their neighbors.

2.   The market shall prevail over all ideologies, free-trade will ultimately enrich both first and third worlds, eliminating world hunger and starvation.

3.   The phenomenon of World Government will become the ultimate authority, along with global enterprises.

4.   A renewal of space exploration will cause humanity to conquer the immediate solar system, and the resultant technological gains will be quite profound: Space age solutions for the Earth's problems, pollution, ozone depletion, energy needs, information networks on a
global scale and the ultimate erasure of national boundaries.

These are the phases of the future, and yet there is no fear of nuclear devastation or Armageddon in these visions. There is only the profound challenge to change, adapt, grow, and progress on all levels instead of succumbing to hate, war, destruction, and death, as found in the myriad of ethnic and nationalistic struggles.

The use of these visions is in their amalgamation in a Vision-Image which becomes the Key to the Spiritual Dimensions of the Inner Planes. This Vision-Image corresponds to the symbolic progression of the Theme of the Apocalypse, a mythic theme of Society in transformation. Because the Great Age is truly in transition, the Inner Planes are opening up, revealing ever more spiritual attributes which profoundly alter the spirits and minds of the common folk. However, the magician adept is aware of this process and can control and manipulate it to a certain degree. Thus it is a great time for major magickal workings, because there are more spiritual emanations in times of transition that can be used and channeled. It is a time of great destinies, especially for the Master Magician who knows the Age in which he or she was born.

Conclusion

Of course these visions occurred at a time when the U.S. would experience a long period of peace and prosperity, to be broken up with the advent of the 21st century, a terrorist attack and a new (and highly flawed) president. I would say that the period of change is now upon us, and that the cataclysm that prompted these changes has already begun. Climate change, peak oil, the war on terror and many other issues have come to the fore, but back in the early 90's things were actually progressing quite well, and so the words of the spirit Camara reflected more the times than what was to come later.

Heptarchia Mystica and Septagramic Vortex Gate - Part 1

A dusting of snow now covers the ground this morning, indicating that winter is now officially here in the Midwest tundra. Winter began a few weeks early this season, and hopefully it will end early next spring. I am currently in the implementation phase of my work related project and it seems that there is still one major challenge to overcome before it’s finally completed. Instead of pivoting to other work I have found myself engaged in helping to resolve a number of final issues. It seems to be that this project that has no end, even though it will indeed hopefully end soon.

I am also contemplating undergoing cataract surgery later this week, and I am looking forward to having full use of both of my eyes. (I am not, however, looking forward to allowing my left eye to be cut, so it is a matter of personal stoicism to see it through.) At the present time, I can only read and see detail images with my right eye. The vision in my left eye is clouded and indistinct, and during the night, bright lights such as the headlights of on-coming cars produce a cloudy streaking glare that interferes with my night vision altogether. For the last three months I have avoided driving long distances during the night and that has certainly made me less available to friends and associated in the local community.

As all of these various minor details conspire to take my time away from me as the year dwindles down to nothing, I do have some cheerful things to look forward to beside having the full use of both of my eyes. I will be spending four weeks on vacation starting in the second week of December and lasting until after the first week of January. I am planning on traveling to Milwaukee to see friends and family and I also have a number of magical operations planned during that period as well. One operation that I have put to a date is where I will employ the seven newly generated metallic talismans that I had created in a spell that is used to open the threshold of the Inner Planes - I have referred to this ritual as the Septagramic Vortex Gate.

To illustrate how this ritual works, in regards to its function and purpose, I thought that I would write up some paragraphs that succinctly explain the nature of this ritual. I have taken the liberty of pulling text from the ritual itself and also from one of the unpublished “Books of the Nephilim.” I also wanted to share with my readers the magical journal that I wrote after I had performed this rite for the first time, back in January of 1992.

The Septagramic Vortex Gate ritual is used at the culmination of invoking seven spirits of the Heptarchia Mystica, also known as the Bonarum. I have already written an article that explains how I work with the 49 spirits from this Enochian magical system, contrasting it to the classical manner of planetary magic espoused by others. I look at these spirits as binary planetary spirits, since a matrix of seven by seven would naturally (in my opinion) combine two planets into a synthesis. You can find that article here, and I will also quote from it a useful definition of how I would define the spirits of the Bonarum.

“To me, a matrix of 49 spirits would obviously represent a symbolic table consisting of a base planet that is qualified by a second planet. In other words, I saw these spirits as a kind of binary planetary intelligence.”

I also perceive the seven planets of antiquity in a different manner than is traditional, seeing them also as a kind of seven rays, as associated with the planetary Sephiroth of the Tree of Life. Combining the attributes of the seven planets and the seven planetary Sephiroth as they are defined in the Qabalah produces a much more powerful definition of each of these domains. It is for this reason that I refer to them as the Seven Planetary Rays or Seven Rays. It is not my intention to conflate these Qabalistic elements with the Theosophical notion of the Seven Rays, since I am still working strictly within the Qabalah and I have not ventured into writings of Alice Bailey and others of that tradition. In other words, my nomeclature might be similar, but it represents a completely different factual basis.

My work with the Bonarum of the Heptarchia Mystica consisted of seven specific ordeals where I performed an invocation of one of these spirits for a period of seven consecutive weeks. I also chose one of the spirits to represent the base for each of the seven planets so that all seven of them would be represented through the overall ordeal. After the seven spirits are invoked over this period, a final working is performed to draw them all together into a septagram device, with the eighth spirit and ruler (Carmara) in the center. The whole reason for this combined working, which would take two months to complete, is to activate the seven rays and pull them into an independent matrix that represents all 49 of the Bonarum. My reasons for performing this long working was explained quite adroitly in my second Book of the Nephilim, and I should therefore just quote from it.

“These Seven Enochian Rays are revealed so the magician may comprehend and assimilate them into his or her consciousness. The Rays are made manifest through the invocation of each of the seven binary planetary intelligences. Their mysteries represent the core of the celestial consciousness of this specific current of magick. Each spirit invoked represents the complete archetypal mystery of one of the Seven Rays, so when the entire ordeal is completed, the seven-fold mystery (Heptarchia Mystica) is joined into union, unlocking the internal essence of the Enochian magickal current. The holistic mythic image established through the interlocking of the seven rays as expressed by the Heptarchate becomes the singular source of all that is comprehensible as Enochian, i.e., it becomes the meta- symbol of the Enochian System of Magick.”

Once these seven Bonarum have been invoked and fully experienced by the operator, then the final rite, called the Septagramic Vortex Gate, can be performed. The text that appears in the header of the rite give a succinct explanation of the purpose and function of this ritual, so let me just quote that and comment on it as necessary.

“The Septagrammic Vortex Gate ritual is utilized to invoke and direct the Spirit of Carmara, ruler of the Heptarchia Mystica. This ritual consists of two parts; the first invokes all the Zodiacal Elementals, and the second invokes all Planetary Intelligences. These two structures are brought into fusion through the Gate Trigon and the resulting combination generates the Spirit Heptarchate (which is the combination of all of the seven Planets with all of the 12 Zodiacal signs). The quality of the sentience of this Spirit differs from that of the Spirits Heptarchate in the same manner that the Absolute differs from all manifestation.

The Spirit of Carmara is the union of the 49 Good (Bonarum) Spirits, and thus it represents the Multifaceted Intellect of the Universal Mind. It is the supreme achievement for magicians in our Order to invoke this being, for thus they will experience a most profound spiritual reflection of their spiritual light. This ritual also functions as an initiation rite since the entity Carmara holds the secrets of all Inner Plane revelations, revealing them through its invocation. The Threshold Gate, which is a feature of this working, also functions as the entrance to the higher spiritual dimensions, and as such, it serves as the primary method that the Higher Adepti enter into those worlds.”

Since performing this rite many years ago, the combination of the seven spirits that I originally chose has been used in my rendition of the Septagramic Vortex Gate ritual ever since. In order to perform this rite, I have to retrieve the consecrated sigils from my Liber Spiritus folder and employ them at each strategic point of the rite, where the zodiacal pyramid of power is joined with the western aligned triangular gateway. My intention for this future working of this rite is to place the seven metallic planetary talismans at those strategic points and thereby greatly empower this rite far beyond what I had ever experienced previously. I will certainly write up my experience of this working in my magical journal and post an edited version for my readers to peruse once I have completed it. I will perform it during the orb of the next Full Moon, and the date that I have selected is November 25.

Finally, I wanted to share with my readers the magical journal that I wrote following the first time that I performed this working so many years ago. This edited journal was taken once again from the second Book of the Nephilim.

Invoking One of the 49 Bonarum Part 2

I have decided to post another of my past magickal experiences as written up in my electronic journal. From time to time, I will edit and post still more of these journal entries to share with my readers. Hopefully, these experiences will demonstrate what a real magickal working is like from the standpoint of the magician.

Back in the autumn of 1991, while I was living in Tallahassee, Florida, I performed a series of workings that invoked seven of the 49 Enochian Spirits called the Bonarum. I have classified these spirits as binary-planetary intelligences because they consist of two planetary intelligences fused together into a bypolar unified conscious entity. A binary planetary intelligence is extremely useful for any kind of magick ordeal since it has the ability to powerfully resonate with the psyche of the practitioner, causing him or her to experience a powerful cathartic clarification. These spirits also make very potent talismanic generators, so they can be used in that manner as well.

This working was part of an eight part working that invoked seven of these spirits and Camara during an intensive eight week period. I invoked one of these spirits during the weekend for nearly a two month period. Needless to say, the results were spectacular and through them I gained a lot of additional previously unknown Enochian magickal material. The full set of journal entries and other lore will encompass the second volume of the Book of the Nephilim.

Keep in mind that I am still editing and refining these journal entries, so what I am posting here is something of a rough draft. I am doing this so you can get a very good idea about the actual raw experience, unadulterated by later edits and verbal refinements.

Here are the notes from the seventh invocation in that series.

Notes from the Invocation of Beta-Aminodea

The invocation of Aminodea was the seventh and final in the series of the Binary Planetary Invocations. This working was probably the most intense and unusual of all of the workings. At the start of this working, I felt a strong sense of foreboding which was rather odd. The atmosphere associated with this evening was haunted and almost eerie. Because of my gothic sensibilities, I found these strange sensations to be rather pleasant and thrilling. They seemed to indicate a brooding type of force that always presages a major magickal experience. The combination of planets used in this working certainly assisted the dark nature of the energies that I experienced. The base planet was the Moon, and Saturn qualified it amidst the background zodiacal sign of Cancer, thus reinforcing the Lunar attributes of this working. However, the planet Saturn, acting through the influence of the sign of Cancer, caused a potent occlusion of emotional factors which led to a kind of emotional hypersensitivity. This combination of planetary qualities caused me to witness a very deep and dark manifestation of unconscious elements. It also brought to the surface of my awareness an archetypal entity that managed to reveal itself to me, but it was reticent to communicate with me until the invocation process was completed.

This entity appeared in the form of a slender and sensuous young woman with bright red hair, pale facial features and beautiful green eyes. She appeared at intervals during the rite, and first appeared while I was in my bath meditating. In fact, the whole impact of the working was revealed while I was taking my magickal bath, and appeared as a powerfully distracting premonition. I knew at that moment that the image of the young woman was Lilith, and that she represented a particular facet of my current relationships with women, colored as they were by my involvement in ceremonial magick. Yet this feminine presence was very sensuous and quite erotic, and she seemed to be friendly with me. I was able to sense that she favorably acknowledged me, and bestowed upon me her apparent good-will.

The primary issue associated with this working seemed to revolve around my seemingly foolish attraction and pursuit of so-called fallen women. However, what was revealed to me seemed to  indicate that such an attraction could be considered normal when one also understood that these fallen women were in actuality the unredeemed daughters of Lilith. They had merely lost the ability to understand their role and the importance of their powers. Therefore, society had degraded these women, but underneath they were truly women of great magickal power.

I suppose that a useful analogy would be to compare how society would evaluate me without the cover of my outward normalcy and my middle class profession. I assume that I would be consigned to the spiritual ghetto if it were not for my own personal power and sense of personal value. These qualities allowed me to pursue the education and gain the experience necessary to establish myself in my current station of life.  Yet I can barely imagine what it must be like being a woman born in the lower classes who would most certainly be incapable of taking advantage of her virtues, while the degradation of life around her would reinforce all of her negative issues. So a woman born with great occult powers in such a situation would probably be easily led by unscrupulous individuals and used in a degraded fashion. There would likely be no guide or teacher to instruct her about the magickal abilities and singular virtues that she possessed. This is the nature of the fallen women who Lilith represents as her daughters.

The spirit of Aminodea appeared, then, as the Goddess Lilith in all her strange, beautiful and troubling glory. She was dressed in a semi-transparent white robe that revealed all her feminine charms in a defused but obvious manner. Her red hair was long and lustrous, and upon her forehead was a ruby diadem. Her eyes were a lovely shade of jade green and her skin was pale white. Her lips were full and generous and painted a passionate red. She spoke to me in a quiet and calm voice, and I wrote down all that she said in my journal. Her voice was very sensual and the energy that emanated from her presence was splendidly erotic. I had to focus carefully on what she said or I would have become distracted by her presence. Yet I persevered and wrote down her words, and this is what she said.

The Testament of Lilith

I reveal unto you, the secret of the Daughters of Lilith, those little goddesses who are my heart and soul, they are my beloved ones. For these women are the Daughters of Great Magick, and they rightfully oppose the Daughters of Eve, who are the staunch supporters of the status-quo. They are also the keepers of the Great Lie, which states that women are spiritually weaker than men. So to keep themselves in power, the Daughters of Eve shall insert their hypocritical definitions of women and morality into the legal and moral structures of society for the rest of us, and they will be venerated as if they were an absolute truth.

So my daughters are devalued and degraded; because they are willful and motivated by potent passions and desires. Thus the men who rule this world both fear and covet them. In the prior age, these women would have been burned as witches, but in this age, they are prostitutes, erotic dancers, pornographic actresses, the host of the used and abused, and even impoverished single mothers. They are the castaways of society; and this great injustice occurs because they contain a great need for self-empowerment and the desire for personal freedom. For these women find no comfort in being the chattel of men. Some of these women, although very few, become great artists, celebrated authors, actresses or professional dancers; but most of the Daughters of Lilith remain poor and undiscovered.

So I direct you, a sorcerer of the old line and an occult teacher, to seek the Daughters of Lilith in their fallen state, and as the gnostic Helena of Troy was saved from a Syrian Brothel by Simon Magus, you must redeem her so that she becomes like the Sophia Prunikos. The alternative for them is darkness and despair, which is their collective fate. They are lowly and cast down, but they aspire and are held apart. They are lonely and the essence of their power is to be found in the captive lusts of their lowly men. Their unions are often unfruitful, but they release an ecstatic power. This why you are attracted to these fallen women (as are all men of this world), because they are the Daughters of Lilith. So unbeknownst to them, they are calling and summoning you to aid them in their plight, to give them the tools of high self-esteem and self-empowerment. When this evolution shall come to pass, then shall I rejoice in their redemption; and correspondingly, the great age of magick shall be reborn. Because these down-trodden women are the true-born priestesses of the magickal arts, and without them, such an age of magick cannot be realized.

O Red-headed Daughter of the Night, a street walker, degraded and debased, and also unloved. Help her to redeem herself and teach her the arts of magick that she has forgotten. Yet the way is very hard and the trials shall separate the worthy from the unworthy. Some may be too broken, or too far gone and despairing, to be redeemed. Others may be unable to reawaken their magickal heritage, or they might just succumb to fear or to the lies of the Daughters of Eve. Yet those who shall achieve their redemption will gather together and summon the power to glory in the image of me, the Goddess Lilith. In my name and power, all the men and women who revel in my service shall quickly grow and spiritually evolve, and bring forth a New Age of Magick.

I shall now reveal to you my secret nature so that you may understand and thereby invoke my spirit into manifestation; and this summoning will presage the beginning of the New Age of Magick. Thus are the Feminine Mysteries of the Cult of the Nephilim revealed through the potent manifestation of my spirit, and herein, I reveal myself to you.

Sun in Scorpio: I am emotionally intense, a power of spiritual regeneration for good or evil. I seek to fulfill my desires, yet I am subtle, calculating and secretive. Thus I am also possessive, jealous and even vengeful.

Moon in Leo: I am dramatic and emotionally demonstrative. I need to be desired and appreciated. I also need to be the center of attention, but I am generous and loving in return.

Mercury in Libra: I am concerned with the interrelationships between people, and I am very curious about the inner thoughts and feelings of lovers. I am honest and frank in my conversations, to the point of being blunt, yet I seek always to be equitable and just in my social interactions.

Venus in Scorpio: I am very sexual and passionate; sometimes I am overly preoccupied with sex and experiencing ecstasy (which is my drug of choice). My wants and needs are very selfish and often override the needs of others, and I am often far too self-indulgent.

Mars in Aries: I am highly active and highly energized. I have great leadership skills, but I can also be stubborn and fiercely independent. I believe strongly in fighting for my beliefs, and relying upon my own strengths, will-power, and courage.

Jupiter in Taurus: I have an excellent sense for the proper use of resources on all levels. Thus, my nature attracts wealth. I love good food and drink, beautiful cloths, costly jewelry and sumptuous surroundings. However, I do have a problem with material excess, and I can readily experience dissipation through too much self-indulgence.

Saturn in Pisces: I understand humility and I am compassionate of those who are less fortunate than I. At times, I brood on past errors and transgressions, but I am aware of my humble beginnings, so I never have any illusions about who I really am.

Thus I am, in form and spirit, to be invoked and known by you. You will summon the power of the Black Aphrodite and therein shall you find redemption and emancipation at her hands. She will teach you the mysteries, and these will be the tools through which you shall transform her daughters. You shall find them in the lowly places of society, lost and forgotten, like jewels in the gutters. I say to you that the power of the age of Lilith is near, her time is coming and so is her fate of retribution. She was fallen yet she has arisen to become the redeemed Goddess of the Feminine Spirit. She is to women as the Christ was once to men.

Because you are an aspirant of the dark wisdom and are aligned to the Dark Lord Set, therefore, I would choose you to be one of my many prophets, as I would any man who follows your path. So too, one could see in Set, God of the Egyptians, the personage of Seth, the ancestor of Enoch and the patron of the Gnostic Philosophies. The darkness represents the obscure nature of this knowledge, and the sense of the forbidden is cast aside by the light of realization. Yet all men who walk the dark paths represent my preferred mates, for I am mistress of all sorcerers and the guide of its darkest mysteries.

I reveal to you that Seth is the seventh and final master of the Enochian System of Magick. So you must assume his godhead within the Bornless Invocation Rite, and then call forth the luminous image of myself, the scarlet haired Goddess (who shall act like a bitch in heat), and we shall consummate our union. This is because pure lust, directed from the Body to the Spirit, leads to ecstasy, which is the union of Deity and Humanity, This is the state of ultimate perfection and the domain of the incarnated and empowered spirit. From this union will arise your own priestess and lover. You will redeem her as the incarnation of Lilith, most beloved and respected. Therein, she shall teach you of the ways that represent the wisdom of my mysteries made manifest, and you shall also find many of my spiritually red-headed daughters. You will raise them up, but only those who are worthy, and they shall shine like jewels in the blackened night sky. They will become known in the world of men for their true value and be venerated and deeply appreciated. You will only be their master of the moment; since you must be stern and unwavering in the application of their ordeals. Yet that ordeal will redeem and cause them to arise to their true station. Thus, they shall be saved from themselves and from a corrupted and evil society.

Know you that the daughters of Lilith are analogous to the sacred scarlet women. The archetype of the Holy Courtesan is thus restored, and it becomes the Qadishtu, which is the holy erotic mediator of the Divine Feminine. Since to become one with the God is to become one with the representative of the Deity upon the Earth. Therefore, I have revealed to you the lost avocation of the sacred temple prostitute. In the cult of the Nephilim, the Priestess becomes the Lilith of Power, offering to all her chalice of ecstasy. She has become the embodiment of the Grail, but she has received powerful initiations and magick runs in her blood (sangreal), so she can transmute her being of Flesh and Blood into a perfect sacrament. She must be taught, led bound and blindfolded through her ordeals, tempered and made strong; then she can lead the faithful after becoming like true alchemical gold.

The manifestation of Lilith through the spirit of Aminodea is at an end, having revealed the mysteries of the magickal power of women.

The Structure of Inner Plane Workings

The following represents the pattern which is to be used when working with the Inner Plane domains of the Qabbalah of the 40 Worlds.

1.  The Qabbalistic Pyramid of Power

This ritual, which has already been written and is part of the Order's arsenal of rituals, establishes the Qabbalistic World as a pyramidal pylon ritual structure.

2.   The Ritual of the Eneagram

This ritual establishes the Qabbalistic focus on a specific Sephirah, with an invoking vortex set in the angles, and tracing the appropriate Eneagrammic angle, the appropriate correspondences are invoked. This ritual should be updated to include the Enochian names for the Godhead, Sephirah, and Archangel. The eneagrammic structures are unified with a hexagrammic device set in the ultra-point.

3.   The Septagrammic Gate Vortex

This ritual is over-laid upon the prior two structures, thus causing the Qabbalistic World to be fused with the pylon- invoking structure of Camara, the guide of the Inner Planes. Then the Grand Threshold is established, the Celebrant passes into the world of the Inner Planes. After this is accomplished, then one may either skry or astral project at this point, a guided meditation may also assist to set the structure of the symbolic correspondences of that revealed Qabbalistic World.

The above information was delivered along with the ritual structure of the Septagrammic Gate Vortex. That ritual was written into a finished format in preparation for use in the next working, scheduled for the Full Moon of the next month.

Ritual Comments

The working began at 9:15 PM EST when the consecration of the circle was completed, which locked the planetary hour of Luna for the 14th Day of December, 1991. The Moon was in the sign of Aries, and it had moved into that sign during the first hour of sunrise (the first planetary hour of Saturn). There were no significant astrological aspects for the duration of this working. The Moon had already entered the First Quarter at 4:32 AM that morning. The working ended at 12:09 AM the next morning.

Invoking One of the 49 Bonarum

I have decided to occasionally post some of my past magickal experiences as written up in my electronic journal. So from time to time, I will edit and post one of these journal entries to share with my readers.

Here are the notes from the fourth invocation in that series.

Notes from the Invocation of Beta-Nuaspeol

The invocation of Nuaspeol represented the fourth in the series of Binary Planetary Invocations. This working had all the intensity of the first, but none of the angst or psychological distress. An archetypal entity appeared yet remained obscure and nameless, its message was of greater importance than the strength of its appearance. This work consisted of the joining the planetary intelligence of Mercury to itself, so the doubling of the Mercurial energies might have caused the working to be very intense, perhaps even scattered and and disordered, as Mercury can sometimes be. However, the outcome of the working, which was generated from the the Zodiacal sign of Gemini, was neither overly verbal or high strung in its expression. In fact, the manifestation seemed very dark, bringing out the characteristics of Mercury as Psycho-pompos, the Guide of the Dead and Judge of the wicked. True to its reputation, though, this Binary Intelligence produced a great deal of information of a technical and highly occult quality. However, that information was imparted only after the invocation and its associated manifestation.

As with previous workings of this sort, the forces generated from this working were experienced prior to its actual performance, once again producing a quality of clairvoyance in the rite. The phenomenon occurred in the magickal bath, where I experienced a profound awareness that one of my female occult friends had embarked upon a path of darkness. I still loved this spiritual sister, so the awareness of this fact was quite surprising. This occurrence established that evening's fundamental issue, which is the judgement of light and darkness upon all those who travel the initiatory pathways of the adept. Unfortunately, my initial prejudice would cause me to condemn my sister's deviation from the path as negative, perhaps even as a manifestation of true evil. I prayed for her, knowing that as she both loved and maintained a personal bond with the Great Goddess, she would be saved from all harm by the power of that Deity. Yet I felt very uneasy, even afraid for her because of the change in her path, and because of the fact that I still felt very connected to her. It even caused me to question my own integrity and direction. However, what I discovered through all of this was that to judge another too quickly and harshly might well be highly prejudiced, and therefore, unwarranted. I found that I lacked a critical understanding of the darker aspects of occultism; even though some might very well judge my beliefs and practices to be dark or even evil.

These thoughts and feelings fought within my mind and emotions, and I had not even begun the invocation yet. I was still taking my magickal bath! Yet the theme was established, so what I experienced was very auspicious.

The archetypal image of Nuasapeol quickly manifested once I completed the invocation ritual, and it seemed that its spirit had already been silently present, just waiting for me to complete the process of manifestation. It appeared as a brooding shadow, a nameless darkness that was heavy with foreboding, but confident in its bearing. I realized that it appeared to act much like my own psychic shadow, but more evolved. I heard a voice speak, or rather, whisper, and I noted down what it said as it spoke. This is what it said to me.

The Power of Absolute Truth

If thou art quick and nimble, the fire will not hurt thee! So too shall the truth not hurt thee if thou dost desire to know, even for the sake of knowing.

[The Spirit was referring to an incident that occurred during the consecration of the magick circle, where I managed to dump the contents of the thurible on the carpet. A very hot glowing chunk of charcoal began to burn my rug, but I nimbly picked it up and put it back in the thurible, and then put out any residual sparks on the carpet with my hands. In all, I received not one burn, nor did the burning charcoal feel hot in my hands. Yet I held the charcoal in my fingers for nearly 3 seconds.]

Truth, truth, truth; the three-fold Truth shall baptize you in the Fire of Absolute Purification. If you are not in error, you shall not be burned, and the revelation shall not cause you pain. Thus, then, know the truth, especially the truth that lieth in your fiery heart; for that is where mortals are usually burned most terribly. These symbols, which I reveal to you, shall unlock this mystery; but they themselves are a mystery. I reveal them, but you must discover their true meaning.

You are the archetypal teacher. You have accepted this role and perform it well, inspiring others to spiritually grow and evolve. But you must become more attentive and self aware. Listen and perceive the truth in each person who comes to you seeking knowledge. Be still and come to know their soul, for their words and deeds shall assist you and whisper this knowledge to you, if you have the ability to be inwardly still and to carefully listen to others.

You should summon your Higher Self to witness a person's true will, but summon inwardly and without prejudice, then meditate in perfect receptivity. By invoking my spirit again, I shall give you the power and knowledge to communicate your true desire. Recall the ritual of the Power of Petition, and the Volition of Acquisition; one cannot find fulfillment without both, and Mercury doubled is the Key. You must be a diplomat and also a thief. If you do not seek as a strategy, then you shall not find your heart’s desire. Through this methodology you will discover the ultimate magick through seeking, finding and becoming one with the sexual sacrament in the bliss of fulfillment. This is the Food of the Gods, and as they are fed by the multitudes, so shall you be fed if you can but receive their bounty. Thus, you must ask in order to receive, and having requested your heart’s desire from the cosmos, so you shall find it. In this there is no blame, since moving in this manner you will emulate all of life.

The Philosophy of Darkness

Now I must move into the darkness to speak to you of words that are heavy with truth and knowledge; for we must always tread the dark twisted pathways of our great dark selves in order to be redeemed.

In the reality of darkness one must always be the illuminating light. This is the only law which you must follow. Even to travel the deepest and darkest paths one may be whole and yet also good as long as the secret light guides one’s steps.

The image I present to you is like the Hermit who guides the way through labyrinthine pathways, which are like the endless coils of the cosmic serpent. This lantern shines with the light of love and compassion, thus illuminating all the dim corridors of mystery and dispelling the fear of the unknown. You are a keeper of the dark-wisdom and, therefore, you must ensure that the guiding light is always lit. Remember that the obscuring darkness is a relative quality. As you have judged others as dark, so I judge you now as being such (and all of your kind as well). Be not surprised of this fact, for a wielder of the Dark Wisdom is both rare and honorable. This is a strange mystery, but you must keep the guiding lantern always burning.

In the image of the Hermit, the flame of the lantern consists of the two triangles forming a beautiful hexagram through their union,. These triangles are known as Love and Compassion, and they are the triangles of spiritual love entwined.  The triangle of Love is the realization that all beings are connected through the union withthe Absolute Spirit.  Therefore, being self-aware, in its truest meaning, is to know the love that unites everything into a singular unity; to know this love is to become one with it!

And the triangle of Compassion is the desire and the motivation to give that which shall cause the greatest good for another, knowing that such a gift will be a reflection on one’s self; through the unity of all being. This gift of goodness is given freely without any expectation of return, since it is really the greater good of all. It symbolizes a form of self-sacrifice, spiritual service and ultimately becomes the agency of ascendency.

These two triangles joined together to form the blessed Hexagram represents the synergy of these two ethical realizations based upon spiritual love. This is because love is the Star of the Light of the Spirit that illuminates the seeker upon the dark pathways. The maintenance of this flame, which is practiced as a discipline of the heart of the adept, ensures that he or she is always balanced, ethical and mature in the execution of spiritual works. This is the established discipline of the High Adept.

The light of the lamp shines out to those seekers who are prepared to open and commit themselves to the Light of the Higher Adepti. Those who are thus opened become themselves the light. In this manner, the initiation and recognition of the Avatar of Light (the Ultimate Source) begins the revelation of the higher degrees, and so the initiate steps into the worlds of spirit and the Inner Planes.

The Hermit also holds the light aloft from a distance, and from a distance it is perceived as an illuminating Watchtower (the Watchtower of the Spirit), whose shining light drives away the darkness and defends the pathways of the Mysteries. It also acts as beacon, showing the way to those seekers who are lost.

If the light goes out by negligence or even by mistake, then the bearer of that lamp becomes a creature of the darkness if that lamp can’t be relit. So if the light is not relight, since it is always easy to do so at first, then progressively, over time, one shall loose the precious alignment to the Higher Self, and thus, to the Godhead. A child of the spiritual darkness, as he or she has become, will also lose possession of his or her soul, becoming a container of empty and powerful hungers that grow more negative and self destructive as time progresses.

Only the light of truth can save a child of the spiritual darkness. Yet by this time, the darkness shall cause that one to lust for illusions and be filled with the corruption of personal power, which is also an illusion. As long as a child of the spiritual darkness is so deluded, then shall the pain of the revelation of truth become ever greater, and the desire for illusion correspondingly greater. However, the simple revelation of the light of truth can light again the lantern of wisdom, but it must be applied directly to the illusion of self-hood, the petty ego. This illusion must die in order for the self to live. Yet denial becomes to power that maintains the inner darkness, causing one to revel in blindness and ignorance.

Those who learn to delight in the darkness, who experience ecstasy in its illusions of power, and particularly those who enjoy harming others, they will transform themselves from a mere child of spiritual darkness to a truly evil spirit made flesh. Thus, they will embody the darkness and ignorance of the Archons, like the great devil Choronzon, and become trapped in the world of the flesh (Assiah), soul-less, spiritually dead, and without the hope of redemption. Eventually, even their spirit decomposes and eternally dies, giving birth to new forms from the corruption of their demise. Then, in its elemental constituents, the fragments may be used in the formation of a new spiritual being - a promise of hope and ascension renewed.

It is now necessary to continue revealing the lore of the Enochian Qabbalah. Know that the Enochian Tree of Life has 32 paths, 10 more that the Hebrew Tree of Life. The 10 additional paths are represented by the traditional Arabic numerals 0 through 9. The 10 numbers represent how the 10 Sephiroth are experienced by the individual seeker within the cycle of initiation. Keep in mind that  the five additional Sephiroth of the Enochian Tree of Life are hidden and unknown to the individual. The 32 paths, the 15 Sephiroth, and the hidden Angles (Aethyrs) are the building blocks that define the 18 dimensions of the Spiritual Qabbalah, which is the ultimate state of the Inner Planes. Your task is to enter into the dimensions and unlock their secrets.

These are the parts of the magick lore that you must devise and use to bind together the foundations of the Enochian System of Magick. There is first part that is the Alphabet of Desire of the 16 Elementals. These must be revealed to your associates, and the spiritual genius of magick shall assist you. Then there are the Seven Rays (with their symbolic alphabet, and this you already have), which represent the waves of the consciousness of being. Next in this lore are the 22 letters of the Hebrew Alphabet and the 10 numerals of the Arabs. These are the 32 trumps of the Enochian Tarot that assists the adept in crossing the Greater Abyss. I will presently reveal to you the whole of the structure of the Enochian Tree of Life, including the definitions of the new Sephiroth and Paths.

[I then received and diagramed the entire Tree as revealed by the Binary-Planetary Spirit. This material is included in a document devoted to this subject.]

Ritual Comments

The working was started at 7:50 PM EST. with the consecration of the circle that locked the Planetary hour of Mercury on the 23rd day of November, 1991. The Moon was in the sign of Gemini, and it was void course and two days from being Full, so it was waxing. The Moon entered the sign of Cancer at 8:15 PM, but the circle consecration rite locked the corresponding astrological aspects of the previous hour, so it only  had a potential impact. No other aspects occurred during the ritual. The working ended at 11:00 PM.  Continuous manifestations occurred throughout the week, especially the revelation of the Enochian Tree of Life, which occurred 3 days after the invocation.
